Chocolate Love Cakes with Roasted Strawberry Buttercream
I don’t know anyone that wouldn’t be happy to receive one of these for Valentines Day. Moist chocolate cake, indulgent chocolate ganache, fresh strawberries and roasted strawberry buttercream. They’re the perfect size to split with your love, but this recipe makes more than enough for you to each have your own. I really think it’s worth putting the extra effort into the finishing touches. Fresh rose petals and gold leaf are my favourites to really make them special.

Rhubarb & Lemon Mascarpone Cream Choux Buns
I’m not a big believer of Valentines day so it’s quite a chill affair in my house. I do, however, believe in spreading love with food. So these sweet lemony cream choux buns with their punchy rhubarb compote nestled inside are just that. My little love buns.

Chamomile, Blueberry & Ginger Swiss Roll
Swiss roll is the epitome of a light sponge that can carry an array of flavours. I flavoured mine with some lemon zest. I love the delicate flavour of chamomile when its infused into a cream and the sweetness of white chocolate pairs well. Along with the chamomile white chocolate cream; I made a punchy blueberry and ginger compote to add a pop of colour to both the aesthetics and flavour.

Simple No-Knead Bread
I love having fresh bread in the house but being a mum to a little girl means I don’t have much time to spare. I make this no-knead bread at least twice a week for us to enjoy alongside soup during the week. It’s so easy and you can switch up the flavour additions and flours to suit your families tastes.

Panettone French Toast
This recipe is really easy and you can use thick slices of brioche if you don’t have panettone. I say thick because I like them T-H-I-C-K. I want it to soak up as much of that delicious vanilla eggy milk before being fried to a golden brown. Once fried, I pop mine in the oven for a few minutes to ensure that they’re cooked through. They’re warm and ridiculously tender. Coating the sides in a cinnamon sugar gives these a doughnut vibe. I like to sit mine on a bed of cold custard to reach peak indulgence.

My ultimate Seeded Mustard Cheese Straws
My ultimate cheese straws are golden with crisp cheesy edges and a soft middle chock full of mustardy salty cheese. I love the crunch they make as you snap into them and that nutty flavour from the toasted seeds.
